Livingston have a vital game against Morton today and Stirling next week which could define their season. They are too near the drop zone to contemplate anything else but two wins out of two. The Lions have not won in the league since 19 January when they beat fellow strugglers Stirling 4-1 at home. However, they will want to remember that their biggest win of the season came against today's opponents - a 6-1 win at Almondvale, also back in January. Clyde, Morton and Stirling and all battling along with Livingston to avoid relegation. Stirling look favourites to win the race you want to lose, for last place, but the other three could all find themselves finishing in the relegation play-off spot. Livingston control their destiny at the moment and wins in the next two games would dramatically alter the situation.
Coach Mark Proctor said: "Morton and Stirling are massive games. Morton have brought in a few new faces and they are not going to lie down. They will make it a very tough game and there is a new manager, which generally causes a bit of a reaction amongst the players. But we have beaten them 6-1 here at home and drew 2-2 there, but it was going on 10-2 so we are very positive. If we can survive - and I think we can - there are young, good players who will have gained valuable experience. The players have been affected by the unrest of the crowd and it is difficult for the youngsters. I have been in the game a long time and I understand people's anxieties. But we have an evolving side and we cannot buy a win - it is a tight situation."
