Hamilton boss Billy Reid is confident that his side is ready for anything ahead of today's top-of-the-table game against Dundee. This despite Accies' lead at the top being cut to just three points on Tuesday after they drew 1-1 at Dunfermline and Dundee beat Livingston 2-0. Defender Tom Parratt is sidelined with a foot injury and is set to see a specialist about the problem, which Reid will be hoping is not a recurrence of a broken metatarsal. Midfielder Stuart Taylor also remains out of action due to his ankle injury. Reid said: "We're the home team, we've got to go and try to win the game, force the issue, and if we do that we go six points clear. They'll be looking to win the game and cut us back, but we know that and we'll be ready. We've had two games this season, we've won 2-0, they've won 1-0 and we missed a penalty the last time, which hurt us badly, but these things happen. We're three points clear at the moment and Dundee have a game in hand at Firhill, but they have to win that and it's always better to have points in the bag."
Dundee's Czech centre-back Milan Palenik is set to return to action today. He missed the midweek win over Livingston due to a knee injury, but trained on Friday and should be available. Derek Lyle has been jogging for the last couple of days after having the stitches removed from his gashed stomach and he could be fit enough for the bench. The squad will also be further bolstered by the return of Paul McHale after his suspension. Manager Alex Rae said: "We have won our last four league games so I am pleased with that. It is never easy down there and there is a lot at stake, even though it won't be game over whoever wins."
