St Johnstone have re-signed Jamie Adams on a new one-year contract despite the midfielder spending much of last season in the treatment room. Admas spent several months on the sidelines with a hip injury but managed to impress manager Steve Lomas enough to earn himself an extended stay at McDiarmid Park. The former Kilmarnock player spent the previous season on loan at Dundee and Lomas is now keen to see him push on with his Saints career.
A statement from the club read: "Jamie Adams today signed a one-year contract extension with Saints. The 24-year-old midfielder joined Saints two years ago from Kilmarnock and although his involvement has been relatively limited (18 starts in that time), and included a spell on loan to Dundee, manager Steve Lomas has seen enough of the player to believe that he can have a more prominent role to play with the club in the season ahead."
