After Scotland's senior women managed a creditable 0-1 defeat by China this week, there is more women's football to enjoy. This Sunday, Scotland's Under 19 women take on the Republic of Ireland at Livingston. This is their final preparation for next month's UEFA qualifiers in Belgium.
The match against the Irish kicks off at 11 am on Sunday, 16 March at the City Stadium. It is a return fixture for the young Scots' 2-1 victory over the Irish in Dublin last month. The game gives Scotland coach Tony Gervaise a final opportunity to see his players in action before selecting the squad for next month's UEFA fixtures. Scotland are due to play Belgium, Norway and group seeds the Czech Republic on 15, 17 and 19 April respectively, with the prize of qualification for the finals tournament in Germany later this year.
