The women representing Scotland are heading off to Greece for a
training camp. If they were wanting warm weather training they could have stayed at home. However, the trip will include a friendly international against Greece on Monday evening. The women are using this as one of a series of game in preparation for their next European Championship qualifier. Scotland coach Vera Pauw has named a young team with seven teenagers. In recognition of the changing balance in Scottish women's football, there are no less than eight Hibs players in the squad. Unfortunately, Scotland's top scorer Julie Fleeting is missing because of club commitments in the USA.

The game against Greece is on Monday at Prosfigikon, Patras, with as 6.30 pm kick-off. The next games as home are next month. They will face Italy at Livingston on 9 September and then the Netherlands at the same venue on 27 September. Their next Euro qualifier is away to the Czech Republic in October.
