Despite being optimistic about facing England tonight at Deepdale, Scotland's women had a miserable night and lost 5-0. This means that England have only lost to Scotland once in 18 games. The game was effectively over in the first half which ended with England being three goals to the good thanks to goals from Amanda Barr, Faye White and Fara Williams. Scotland fought back in the second half, but England grabbed another couple of goals, a second from White shortly after the interval and a late strike from Kristy Moore, to secure a fine win. The second half saw Scotland being much the better side for long periods of the game. Not much of a consolation with no goals to show for their efforts.
