Scotland Under 17s managed to do what the A Squad are having difficulty in doing, scoring a goal and winning a game. Last night the youngsters began their UEFA qualifying group at Falkirk with a 1-0 victory over Norway. Scotland had to work hard for their victory with the only goal of the game coming in the first half from NottinghamForest’s Matthew Glass. A respectable crowd of 835 turned up to see the stars of the future at the Falkirk Stadium. Hopefully, more will be encouraged to turn out for their next game, against the Faroe Islands at Forthbank Stadium in Stirling on Wednesday night, kick off 7.30 pm.
In last night’s other game, Israel beat the Faroe Islands 4-2 at Alloa.
