Scotland women's Under 19's lost out on the chance of three points in their UEFA U19 championship group when they were held to a 3-3 draw by Hungary. They lost a very late goal, in the fourth minute of stoppage time, to the Hungarians in the opening game this afternoon. Hayley Cunningham had put Scotland ahead just three minutes after kick-off, and Jennifer Beattie headed in a corner in 24 minutes to make it 2-0. Things were looking good for Scotland but, Hungary came back strongly after the break and equalised with two goals midway through the half.
Zsanett Jakabfi and Szabina Talosi took their chances to get their side right back into the game. Scotland fought back to gain the advantage and thought the game was won when Ruesha Littlejohn shot home from inside the box in the 88th minute. However, with four extra minutes played, Erika Szuh equalised from a corner to make it three goals apiece.
Next game for Scotland is against Sweden on Thursday afternoon, with their final game on Sunday against the group hosts, Germany.
