Scotland recorded a fine 1-0 win over their Belgium counterparts. This was Scotland's Under 15s first experience of international football and it was good to get off to a winning start. The only goal of the game was scored by Rangers' Maxwell Wright after just two minutes.

Scotland started brightly with Wright's goal coming as he finished off an excellent move involving Ryan Jack (Aberdeen) and James Keatings (Celtic). Scotland dominated the game, coming close on several occasions to adding to their single goal, and even when, towards the end of the first half, Belgium threatened to pull one back they found the Scottish defence in fine form, particularly goalkeeper Conor Fairley (Celtic). The second half saw both teams create a number of chances but the young Scots side held out for a well deserved win.

Coach Ross Mathie said "
It was a great exercise and experience for these young players in their international debuts, and will benefit them as the season goes on. There will be a number of changes for the second match on Thursday morning, and we're all looking forward to the game." The teams meet again at Westerlo on Thursday at 11 am.
