Belgium 1 Scotland 2

Played two, won two. Not a bad start to the record for Scotland Under 15s. They played their Belgium counterparts again today and won 2-1. Added to their 1-0 win on Tuesday you can say it was a highly satisfactory trip to the continent for the young Scots. Next up for the youngsters will be the autumn's Victory Shield competition.

Coach Ross Mathie played a completely different eleven for the second game. This not only allowed all the players to get a game but also showed that the squad has strength in depth. The first goal came in 20 minutes from Jordan Elfverson (Dundee United and Arbroath High School), while the second was scored by Scott Robinson (Hearts and Boroughmuir High) just after half time. Even Belgium scoring a consolation goal in the final minute did not take the shine of an excellent first foray into international football for the Under 15s.
