Andy Driver could yet play for Scotland's A side if FIFA confirm his eligibility to play following a change to the British home nations agreement on eligibility. FIFA's executive committee are looking at the text while they are in Johannesburg and it is expected to be ratified. The law has been changed to include the term "five years' education up to the age of 18", which will allow Driver to play in Craig Levein's side. Driver did not qualify under the previous agreement as he was narrowly short of the required five years' schooling. However, the change of wording will work in his favour and FIFA is expected to ratify the new agreement as the change has already been passed by all four home nations. |
